The kick-off meeting concentrated on establishing the partnership and implementing the project management. The agenda contained the introduction of the project, presentation of the evaluation system, general discussion on the project’s main objectives, the Work Packages and the project’s expected results.
There had been a short presentation of the partners, an introduction to Erasmus Plus project management, procedures and rules and plenary discussions on the project and the WPs. There had been world cafés on the main goals of the project, the work packages and the project’s expected results, before we made the next steps by defining indicatiors for empowerment, participation and citizenship before the partnership agreements had been signed. |

The meeting focused on the participatory practices in the youth field. Thus FADJP as host gave an overview on the situation of youth policies in Portugal. The partnership defined at the end of the training recommendations on how to strengthen participation and citizenship building in the youth field.
In order to improve and finalised the evaluation grid, each partner presented two smart practices and we reviewed the grid with a number of local stakeholders. Abrigo Seguro and Onda Verde, Crefa / Catapulta, Tudo Vai Melhorar and Movimento Transformers presented their work and discussed with the partners, how participation in the youth field work in Portugal. |

The main theme of the training was civic education and non-formal education. MineVaganti NGO gave a short introduction to the field, streesing especially the need to validate non-formal trainings. After the introduction each partner presented smart practices. On the second day the partnership visitsted the Palermo Youth Centre, one of the main driver to make Palermo the Italian Youth Capital 2017.
The meeting was enriched by presentation from the Szkola Liderow in Poland, which focus on local leaders and help them to develop their skills. IYDA Egypt talked about their Winter School and how to work on civic education in North Africa. The Global Water Partnership presented the Voices of the Danube project, demonstrating the participatory work wider networks of public institutions provide. |

The forth EduCitizens meeting took place in Utrecht, The Netherlands on 16th and 17th of February2018. The two days meeting was hosted by EGEA - European Geography Association for studentsand young geographers at the Utrecht University Library and brought together 19 internationalparticipants to exchange smart practices in the field of education and participation.
The meeting program was c ompleted with a project visit at the municipality of Utrecht and a city tour o rganized by locals from EGEA Utrecht. The main goals of the meeting were: 1. Identifying key learning points in empowering volunteers to become active citizens 2. Sharing of smart practices by EduCitizens partner organizations and their invited stakeholders 3. Setting up the next steps for the EduCitizens collaboration project |

The 5th transnational project meeting was organized by Silki - Environmental School of Finland.
The first day of the meeting was held at Perho Liiketalousopisto, a coulinar, tourism and business college in Helsinki. Sustainable smart practices used in the college were presented during the day. Lapinlahden Lähde, an old mental hospital, hosted the meeting in the 2nd day. The partner organizations had the chance to know more about the daily activities of the Institute and to meet the several associations that work there, involving the local community. All the partner organizations participated in the meeting and presented two smart practices about participation, empowerment and citizenship, showing presentations, videos and pictures. During the meeting, ANKARA YILDIRIM BEYAZIT UNIVERSITY, official partner of the project, shared an academic and practical way for categorizing non-formal education practices. |

Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt Üniversitesi hosted the 6th transnational project meeting at the Adnan Ötüken Provincial Public Library, Kızılay, in Ankara. Many new smart practices were presented during the 2 days of meeting, not only by the partner organizations but also by several stakeholders from Germany, Italy and Finland. Two Turkish stakeholders were invited to present their work in the field of Youth and High Education in Ankara: the Toy Library Association and Atilim University. The meeting was also a great occasion to discuss about different possibilities of fundraising for schools in different countries in order to give more educational opportunities to students.

The agenda of the final project meeting held in Suwalki, Poland, and hosted by Stowarzyszenie Pastwisko was full of appointments aimed at discovering and experiencing the variety of activities implemented in the town and for the community. During the first day, the partner organizations visited the ecological education center of the Wigry National Park, paid a visit to the Borderland - Pogranicze, Sejny Foundation and learned about their artistic education program and visited the photographer Piotr Maczewski, who is organising the Festiwal literacki Patrząc na Wschód in his own garden. The second day, the project and its results were presented in the presence of the Mayor at the Municipality of Suwalki. After that, all the representatives of the partner organizations were actively involved in a workshop, the International Ideas Library, in which they shared their experience with students of bilingual classes of secondary schools in Suwałki. It was the best way of ending this educational experience called Educitizens!
